Maj Gen Abhradhwaj Parmar is an alumnus of Colvin Taluqdars’ College, 1965 batch. Joined the Indian Army in 1968. A war veteran of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, his active service includes operations in the deserts of Jaisalmer to the extreme heights of Sikkim and Ladakh, J&K, and the jungles of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur.

Has been decorated by the President of India for his distinguished army service. A keen sportsman, he has represented India in the Asia Pacific Golf championships ( seniors).

Post retirement he has been Director General of the Indian Golf Union, the apex body for golf in India. Currently, he is the Chairman of STRIVE INDIA, a Lucknow-based Think Tank.
